KINS History & Timeline
Established in 1979 as Union Air Conditioning Engineering Company, providing design, installation, and maintenance for HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. In 1989, Kins Engineering Limited was officially founded, marking a new chapter in the company’s professional journey.
In response to market trends, KINS expanded into Mainland China to support Hong Kong enterprises setting up factories. Our initial scope included HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, BMS integration, large-scale civil engineering, and especially proficient in bespoke production line designs and specialized machinery.
We developed power distribution systems for industrial stability and launched our first-generation Precise Climate Unit to meet DVD/VCD production standards. This period marked our transition into high-precision environmental control.
KINS returned to Hong Kong as a government sub-contractor for major projects, including public and private swimming pools, hospitals, aircraft hangars, stadiums, and food markets. We also established a manufacturing arm for R&D in heat exchangers and industrial fans.
We evolved our industrial technology into the next-generation Fresh Air Unit (FAU), expanding from factories to commercial and residential sectors. A key milestone was the successful implementation at the TAL Building.
By integrating IoT and smart controls into our FAU systems, we achieved real-time remote monitoring and automated management. These solutions are now vital in university campuses and professional wine cellars.
Recognized by multiple industry awards, KINS continues to lead in technical innovation and engineering excellence. We remain dedicated to our founding principles, giving back to society through professional expertise.
